734 Joseph Court, Hillsborough,
Hillsborough, North Carolina was laid out in 1754 by William Churton, where the great Indian Trading Path crossed the Eno River. Much has changed in Hillsborough in the 250 years since its inception. But many things remain the same. Hillsborough is still ideally situated, at the merger of Interstate 85 and Interstate 40, providing easy access to all points in North Carolina. The town that was once the colonial capital of North Carolina is now the county seat of Orange County. During the Revolutionary War, Hillsborough was a political and cultural center in the area and it remains so today.
Hillsborough is now a destination for foodies and locavores with Weaver Street Market and numerous locally owned restaurants that offer a nice variety of dishes from farm-to-table fine dining and BBQ to Italian and wood-fired pizza. There's a wine store on Churton Street and Mystery Brewing Company recently opened their taproom. Parks, art galleries and music venues add to the eclectic mix that downtown Hillsborough has to offer.
